  • Blue engine flames that keep burning at full speed, and fins that close round the jets as you speed up and open again as you slow down.

Questions

Straight answers, and only what we know.

  • Where can I get it?

On the Steam Workshop (opens in a new tab) or Nexus Mods (opens in a new tab), as Babylon 5 Ships 1.10. On Steam, subscribe to it. From Nexus Mods, install it with Vortex, or extract it into the extensions folder in your X4 Foundations folder. It works with new games and existing saves.

  • What do I need?

X4: Foundations 9.00 or later, and no DLC. Buy the ships from the Argon Federation, or from the Terran Protectorate too if you own Cradle of Humanity. Playing with Variety and Rebalance Overhaul? Add the optional VRO Compatibility file as well: it’s under Optional files on Nexus Mods, and its own Workshop item (opens in a new tab) on Steam.

  • How do I get updates?

On Steam, your subscription updates itself. On Nexus Mods, track the mod to hear when a new version is up. And to hear what’s coming next, follow us on Patreon (opens in a new tab), Instagram (opens in a new tab) or YouTube (opens in a new tab).

  • Can I share it?

Play it, share links to it and make videos of it as much as you like. Please don’t upload it anywhere else: the licence is in the mod’s folder.

  • Who made the models?

We start from free-to-use models and rework them for X4: the Starfury from “Babylon 5 Starfury SA-23E” (opens in a new tab) by RedFox, and the Omega from “EAS Omega Babylon 5” (opens in a new tab) by Chris Clark (Dalekseth), both under CC BY 4.0 (opens in a new tab). The VRO file uses values from Variety and Rebalance Overhaul, by Shuul and its contributors.

  • Is it official?

No. It’s an independent fan mod, not affiliated with or endorsed by Warner Bros. or Egosoft.

Data manifest

Privacy policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

The short version: we use analytics cookies only if you say yes, there are no adverts, and we never ask for your name or email address. Apart from that, the only thing this site keeps is game scores.

Who we are

Biscuit Tin Games, an independent fan modding studio, runs this site and is responsible for any personal data it handles. For questions or requests, email hello@biscuittin.games.

Cookies and your choices

On your first visit, a banner from Clickio, our consent provider, asks whether we may use analytics cookies. Nothing that tracks you is switched on unless you agree. Clickio remembers your answer on your device so it doesn't ask every time, and showing the banner means your browser contacts Clickio's servers. You can change your mind at any time with Your Privacy Choices at the foot of this page.

Analytics

If you agree, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they visit and which parts they use, roughly where they are (to city level), what device and browser they use, and how they found us. It sets cookies, such as _ga, to tell visits apart. Google processes this information for us, and may do so outside the UK under its own safeguards. We keep it for 14 months. If you say no, no analytics cookies are set, though Google may still receive a basic, cookie-free signal that the page was visited, which isn't linked to you. We use analytics only with your consent.

High scores

If your Biscuit Raid score makes the table, the three initials you choose, your score and the date and time are saved on our server and shown to everyone who visits. We save them because you chose to enter them. Initials only identify you if you pick ones that do. We keep the top 50 scores and may remove any entry at any time.

Keeping the game fair

To stop cheating and spam, our server turns your IP address into a scrambled code (it never stores the address itself) and uses it to count the games you start and the scores you send. Each code is deleted after about an hour. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the scoreboard fair and the site secure.

On your device

The game keeps your personal best in your browser's local storage, along with your scores if our server can't be reached. That stays on your device, and we can't see it. Clickio stores your consent choice there too, and Google Analytics sets its cookies only if you agree. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.

Our host

This site is hosted by Host Media, who handle data for us only to run it. Like any web host, their servers keep standard logs of requests, such as the IP address, the browser and the page asked for, to keep the site working and secure.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them once they're no longer needed.

Nobody else

Apart from Host Media, Clickio and Google as described above, no one else is involved: there are no adverts or social media widgets, and our fonts come from our own site. We don't sell personal data.

Our mods download from Steam and Nexus Mods, not from this site. Links to Steam, Nexus Mods, Patreon, Instagram and YouTube take you to their own sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. For a high score, tell us the initials, the score and roughly when you played. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If anything here changes, such as our mods coming to more places, we'll update this policy and the date at the top.
